Memorial Service and what to do

From time to time we hear from the family of a Brother who comment about how nice our Masonic Funeral serve is and they go on to say that they had no idea of how to plan for that day. As with any memorial service the arrangements are in accordance with the wishes of the person we are remembering. The things that he wanted and had hoped to have presented during this time is difficult to honor if it is not brought to the attention of the family, the funeral director or to whomever is making the arrangements. It is written that a Lodge can not hold a Masonic Memorial service unless it is requested by his family. To make this process easier and to help you make those plans I have added under the Education Tab (Masonic Last Rites-2010) a fill-in-the blank document that you, together with your family, can fill out so your lodge will know of and be able to honor your commitment and love of the fraternity by performing our Memorial Service for your family. This document should be kept with you most important papers. If you find this document to be of value and a help to you please let us know.
